HireRise is a comprehensive recruitment system designed to simplify the hiring process from start to finish. Its functionality encompasses all stages of recruitment: launching the process, receiving applications, screening and interviewing candidates, and finally, extending job offers. Although its features are robust, users expressed difficulties navigating the platform and fully utilizing its potential.
Both recruiters and hiring managers found the HireRise system somewhat complicated to navigate. Features were difficult to find, and the recruitment workflow was not intuitively structured. The candidate comparison feature was not as useful as it could be, and the steps from initial candidate screening to sending a job offer were not seamlessly integrated.
Our primary goal was to improve the usability of the platform, making it a seamless and intuitive tool for recruitment. This involved redesigning the navigation, improving the candidate comparison feature, and creating a smooth workflow from the start of the hiring process to the job offer stage.

The primary aim was to enhance the user experience for recruiters and hiring managers, enabling them to more effectively manage their recruitment processes. The stakeholders were the HR personnel, recruiters, and hiring managers using the HireRise system.
We conducted 8 in-depth interviews with HR personnel, recruiters, and hiring managers. We used these interviews to gain a better understanding of their workflow, pain points, and what they found most valuable in a recruitment system. We also carried out a competitive analysis to see how other platforms were addressing these user needs.

With our research insights, we created a more intuitive and user-friendly interface. The navigation was redesigned to be more logical and easy to use, while the candidate comparison feature was enhanced to allow for more meaningful side-by-side comparisons. We streamlined the workflow to make the process from receiving an application to extending a job offer more seamless. This project involved designing 60 unique screens.

We conducted usability tests with 16 testers drawn from a mix of HR personnel, recruiters, and hiring managers. We iterated on our designs based on their feedback and continued testing until we achieved a high System Usability Scale (SUS) score.
